The Twitch, YouTube, and Reddit user-base post 2020

Twitch has been a very frustrating platform in recent years due to its double standards and hypocrisy with political stuff. A majority of channels impose self-censorship by not allowing anything that goes against the popular narrative on their channels. A majority of the emotes on Twitch are political in nature which is just baffling. Having said that lets see how “innocent” some of these things have been…

Some things that happened after 2020 on various big social media platforms (mostly rolled out in western markets)…

Twitch in 2021: Twitch decides to add some 350+ “labels”, many of which are promoting total trans-humanism and homosexuality ideology, with almost no objective opinions on it existing from mainstream journalists.

Amongst these was the addition of the “V-Tubing” label, which is a total removal of the human element when streaming in favor of a virtual alter-ego.

I have noticed this often involves men cross dressing virtually as women on stream or appearing as a furry.

YouTube in 2023: YouTube decides to implement channel pronouns which has rolled out to many of its markets globally. A rather brazen move considering how many different entities use YouTube that are not overtly wrapped up in gender politics.

YouTube around this time also implemented many controversial features such as removing the dislike button for literally no reason and mass censoring people.

Reddit bizarrely “re-launches” avatars for its user-base in 2020: Reddit officially relaunches its old avatar system snoovatars, which seemed largely irrelevant prior to 2020 upon doing some research.

Reddit strangely claimed they previously “didn’t have the time to do more with snoovatars”, but of course made it back onto Reddit to let users display their LGBTQ+ banners and masks with pride.

MMORPG Runescape completely removes player genders in 2024: This one is a bit less “surprising” than the others, albeit worth mentioning. The reason I say this is because Runescape was never a stranger to supporting LGBTQ+ with adding “pride” themed in-game items to its game sometime around 2018. Runescape developer Jagex had a very brazen stance with this gender removal update almost goading reactions to it.

A side rant…

Having watched some Twitch streamers recently, some of the streamers obsessions with homosexuality and other grotesque behavior is pretty appalling.

This is speculative, but one has to wonder if the “waxxine” post-2020 has had a hand in the general public accepting these changes. People at large seem very “out of it” in recent years.
